 • Standing Volleyball is still known as a Paralympics discipline. Last year the world cup 2007 was hold in Cambodia. Winner was the German national team under coach A. Papageorgiou. • The idea, to bring this spectacular athletic und enthusiasm of the players into the beach for the first time, was developed in the end of 2007 at the German Sports University in Cologne. • The realization of this inexperienced sport is now happening within the graduation work of a student of the University and his lecturer and national coach of the German team: A. Papageorgiou • During the tournament students of Beachvolleyball will observe the game towards its game- and competition structure. The scientific studies will proof the possibility of Beachvolleyball to become a discipline at the Paralympics. |
